SpaceX has requested a May 19th launch target date (0855 UTC) with a backup on May 22nd, from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. In response to this announcement from SpaceX, finalizing a new target date for the launch of its Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft, NASA issued the following statement from William Gerstenmaier, associate administrator for Human Exploration and Operations at the agency’s Headquarters in Washington:
