The European Space Agency has released images of Phobos taken from the Mars Express spacecraft on 9 January 2011. The images were obtained from an altitude of 100 km (62 miles) by the High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC).

The HRSC team has provided an excellent set of images and captions showing a 3D view of the moon and the proposed landing site of the Phobos-Grunt mission.
