September 16th meeting NSS of Phoenix Featuring Mike Mackowski, Presenting his talk on “How Satellites Work”

The September 16th meeting of the Phoenix Chapters of the National Space Society and the Moon Society will be at our usual time (11 am) and location at the Humanist Community Center in Mesa (627 W. Rio Salado Blvd (formerly 8th St.), Mesa, AZ, 85201).

Using the summer time frame was a great time to pace out some of our upcoming projects in order prepare for Winter/Spring. During summer we pushed through to be sure we had the opportunity to meet to gather and build a larger active membership base. We will start up monthly speaker meetings again this September. We are honored to have our very own former President for NSS Phoenix., Mike Mackowski, Presenting his talk on “How Satellites Work”.

There will also be a quick word about petition for John Strickland for an AT-LARGE director‘s position of the NSS Board of Directors for a four-year term commencing after the 2018 NSS election. For anyone interested in signing to support his nomination.
