Saturday, June 15th NSS of Phoenix will be Featuring, Lev Horodyskyj, Ph.D.

It is my great pleasure to resume our regular meetings at the Humanist Center this coming Saturday, June 15th, NSS of Phoenix Meeting will Feature Lev Horodyskyj, Ph.D.: Astrobiologist and educational innovator, School of Earth & Space Exploration, Arizona State University. He is also founder of Science voices.
The January 19th meeting of the Phoenix Chapters of the National Space Society and the Moon Society will be at our usual time (11 am) and location at the Humanist Community Center in Mesa (627 W. Rio Salado Blvd (formerly 8th St.), Mesa, AZ, 85201).
NSS was given a special opportunity to host a special panel at Fan Fusion. Clelia Tommi led discussions for Mars Constitution which was an interactive discussion that included roll playing colonist to navigate a new world and its future. other panelist were Greg Rucker, Brian Hack and Phyllis Redhair.
NSS Phoenix also was kindly offered a portion of the information table in the Science Hall to give out Magazines and NSS fliers. I want to thank members who contributes personally to Fan Fusion of their own decision to promote space it is greatly appreciated.
For July and August our chapter takes the summer off on the regular speaker meeting. Please let me know if you want to do a meeting in August since there has been lots of delay time for regular meetings. otherwise we will do our regular NSS outreach and NSS outings and activities.
Which leads in to our July Outreach, Beginning the week of July 15th, Arizona Science Center will be hosting a variety of events and activities for the public, focused on the Apollo achievement and current happenings in space exploration. Part of this will be a collaboration with NASA where they will likely feature ASC in a live broadcast. The Phoenix Science Center has asked for NSS Phoenix to host an informational table. At this Celebration. Please let me know if there is a talk you would like me to suggest as they hinted at possible programing that we might be able to provide.
