2017 event is going to be at The Casual Pint – Ocotillo (Chandler) on April 11. We’ll have Legos to make spaceships with and have trivia. We’re also planning to run space themes video on their TVs and they will offer spacey themed beers. Tentatively 6 – 10 pm.

We had a fun evening of entertainment, networking, and socializing on Friday April 12, 2013 in conjunction with the Space Access Conference which was held at the InnPlace Hotel Phoenix North. The Phoenix AIAA sponsored a hotel suite and we hosted a very fine party which drew many local NSS, Moon Society, and AIAA members as well as Space Access attendees. Not to mention the Lindenwood College volleyball team. The trivia contest was a blast and we gave out a lot of goodies and posters and other neat space stuff.
NSS Phoenix participated in a Yuri’s Night event on 12 April. The venue is Space Access ’12, which was held at the Grace Inn in Phoenix. AIAA sponsored a hospitality suite for Yuri’s Night from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and all of the space oriented societies were there.
We are starting preparation for Yuri’s Night 1011 on 12 April and the 50th Anniversary. We are investigating venues for a Saturday event on 9 April. Contact us (Veronica@yurisnight.net) if you can help or need information. Other Yuri’s Night celebrations in the West are at Ames Research Facility in San Jose, in San Francisco, and Reno.
We are starting preparation for Yuri’s Night 1010 on 12 April. We are investigating venues and enlisting sponsors. More news as it develops. Contact us (Veronica@yurisnight.net) if you can help or need information.
Yuri’s Night, an annual worldwide celebration of April 12th, fuels public interest in space exploration and the aerospace industry. On April 12th 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the world?s first cosmonaut, a mission that marked the beginning in human exploration of space. This pioneering effort is honored through a worldwide night of celebration bridging continents and countries, and keeping the mission to explore space alive.
Yuri’s Night World Space Parties harness this interest by providing a unique opportunity to reach a worldwide audience. In 2005, Yuri’s Night events were held at 62 locations in 22 countries! These events are ideal for increasing your company?s international brand awareness and/or products through a unique channel, the space community. Our past sponsors have included companies like Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and United Space Alliance. In 2005, Yuri’s Night hit the radio waves and was broadcast on XM Satellite Radio, making Yuri’s Night a unique partner that provides an excellent forum for showcasing your company.
